Eighty clinical strains of Candida spp. were identified with this system and a homemade multiplex PCR assay. The results were also compared with those obtained with two phenotypic methods. The study provided a preliminary evaluation of a multiplex assay from Seegene that uses capillary electrophoresis as the detection of amplified products.
