{"doi":"10.1016/j.jdin.2023.03.008","title":"Hidradenitis suppurativa and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome: A case-control study","abstract":"Recent findings of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) lesions colocalizing with striae distensae have led to the proposal that disruption of the mechanical characteristics of the dermis may result in decreased support to the pilosebaceous unit, thereby predisposing to the development of HS lesions when superimposed upon a proinflammatory environment.1-3 This hypothesis would be supported by an association of HS with collagen-related disease.
