These articles were chosen for addressing unanswered questions or highlighting new directions that shape the field of thyroidology, acknowledging that many other outstanding studies have also advanced the discipline. While the Thyroid Year-in-Review was presented by a single thyroid expert who selected the most impactful papers of the year, this summary was further reviewed by the AACE Thyroid disease state network (DSN), a group of endocrinologists from both academic and private practice settings, to provide complementary clinical perspectives with their insights, highlighting the importance of the papers and how the key findings and interpretations apply to everyday endocrine practice.
