Live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) has been proven to be effective in preventing influenza with broad cross reactivity to drifted strains. Owing to the sophisticated nature of the influenza vaccine production process, the time needed to develop high yield LAIV strains for vaccine production and product release remains a constant challenge.
