The biomechanical properties of naturally derived biomaterials (maximum failure load: WMD 18.68 [95%CI 7.71-29.66]; P = 0.001, and stiffness: WMD 1.30 [95%CI 0.01-2.60]; P = 0.048) was statistically significant in the rabbit model. The rabbit model showed better outcomes even though the injury was severer compared with the rat model.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":3.2188758248682006,"endowment":3.2188758248682006,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"34901561","pmcid":"PMC8633530","openalex_id":"https://openalex.org/W3196649717","authors":[],"funders":[{"funder_name":"National Natural Science Foundation of China","grant_id":"81873184","title":null}],"total_grants":1,"fwci":0.986,"citation_percentile":0.66096988,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[{"year":2022,"count":3},{"year":2023,"count":2},{"year":2024,"count":7},{"year":2025,"count":8},{"year":2026,"count":4}],"oa_status":"gold","license":"cc-by-nc-nd","oa_locations":[{"url":"https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2452199X21003923/pdf","host_type":"journal"},{"url":"https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2452199X21003923/pdf","host_type":"publisher"},{"url":"https://api.elsevier.com/content/article/PII:S2452199X21003923?httpAccept=text/xml","host_type":"publisher"},{"url":"https://api.elsevier.com/content/article/PII:S2452199X21003923?httpAccept=text/plain","host_type":"publisher"},{"url":"https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bioactmat.2021.08.016","host_type":"journal"},{"url":"https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34901561","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"http://ir.lzu.edu.cn/handle/262010/476836","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"https://doaj.org/article/8639dfcc317c4ec6a643c7131f19efa8","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/8633530","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"https://europepmc.org/articles/PMC8633530","host_type":"Europe_PMC"},{"url":"https://europepmc.org/articles/PMC8633530?pdf=render","host_type":"Europe_PMC"}],"fields_of_study":["Shoulder Injury and Treatment","Surgical Sutures and Adhesives","Shoulder and Clavicle Injuries"],"mesh_terms":[],"keywords":["Animal model","Rotator cuff","Animal studies","Meta-analysis","Experimental animal","Biomedical engineering","Animal study","Medicine","Surgery","Materials science","Pathology","Internal medicine","Veterinary medicine","Systematic review","Safety And Effectiveness","Rotator Cuff Patch"],"sdg_mappings":[],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[{"name":"doi"}],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-08-11T11:38:00.018048Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
