However, many vaccines provide only partial or transient protection, prompting the need for more effective solutions based on our growing understanding of the pivotal role of CD4<sup>+</sup> T follicular helper (Tfh) cells in humoral immunity and how they interact with B cells. Here we review how γδ T cells can boost antibody responses via crosstalk with both Tfh and B cells, which could lead to new adjuvant strategies to improve vaccination efficacy, achieve long-lasting protective immunity and prevent major infectious diseases of global importance.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":0.0,"endowment":0.0,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"41047218","pmcid":null,"openalex_id":"https://openalex.org/W4410632224","authors":[],"funders":[],"total_grants":0,"fwci":0.0,"citation_percentile":0.22036364,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[],"oa_status":"closed","license":"https://doi.org/10.15223/policy-004","oa_locations":[{"url":"https://api.elsevier.com/content/article/PII:S0065277625000069?httpAccept=text/xml","host_type":"publisher"},{"url":"https://api.elsevier.com/content/article/PII:S0065277625000069?httpAccept=text/plain","host_type":"publisher"},{"url":"https://doi.org/10.1016/bs.ai.2025.05.001","host_type":"book series"},{"url":"https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41047218","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"https://orca.cardiff.ac.uk/view/cardiffauthors/A2869710Y.html>","host_type":"repository"}],"fields_of_study":["Immune Cell Function and Interaction","T-cell and B-cell Immunology","Immunotherapy and Immune Responses","Humans","Immunity, Humoral","Animals","Vaccination","Receptors, Antigen, T-Cell, gamma-delta","B-Lymphocytes","Adjuvants, Immunologic","Vaccines"],"mesh_terms":["Adjuvants, Immunologic","Animals","B-Lymphocytes","Humans","Vaccination","Vaccines","Receptors, Antigen, T-Cell, gamma-delta","Immunity, Humoral"],"keywords":["Biology","Adjuvant","Humoral immunity","Vaccination","Immunity","Immunology","Immune modulation","Immune system","Virology","Vaccines","Tuberculosis","Malaria","HIV","B cells","T Follicular Helper Cells","Γδ T Cells","Broadly Neutralising Antibodies"],"sdg_mappings":[{"sdg_number":0,"sdg_label":"Zero hunger"}],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-08-10T23:24:40.696859Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
