{"doi":"10.1007/s12028-021-01192-6","title":"Common Data Elements for COVID-19 Neuroimaging: A GCS-NeuroCOVID Proposal","abstract":"Patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) present with a broad spectrum of neurological disorders whose features have been described in numerous reports since the beginning of the global pandemic [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ]. The incidence and prevalence of these disorders range from 3.5% to 84% among patients with COVID-19 [ 2 , 5 , 6 ], with neurological symptoms ranging from mild (e.g., anosmia) to severe (e.g., encephalopathy, stroke) [ 1 , 3 ]. A global community of researchers and clinicians has mobilized in an effort to elucidate the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying neurological injury in patients with COVID-19. These mechanisms include hypoxia [ 7 ], inflammation [ 3 ], hypercoagulability [ 3 ], endothelial infection by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) [ 8 ], autoimmunity, and possibly encephalitis due to direct viral infection of the central nervous system by SARS-CoV-2 [ 9 ]. However, fundamental questions about pathophysiology and mechanisms of recovery remain, hampering our ability to diagnose, prognosticate, and treat patients with neurological disorders associated with COVID-19.","journal":"Neurocritical Care","year":2021,"id":188899,"datarank":0.7191665845052879,"base_score":2.772588722239781,"endowment":2.772588722239781,"self_citation_contribution":0.41588830833596724,"citation_network_contribution":0.3032782761693206,"self_endowment_contribution":0.41588830833596724,"citer_contribution":0.3032782761693206,"corpus_percentile":72.12810396843815,"corpus_rank":3604,"citation_count":15,"citer_count":13,"citers_with_citation_signal":8,"citers_with_endowment":8,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":true,"is_dataset_confidence":0.8494,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":true,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"2021-01-01","fair_score":null,"fair_percentile":null,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":109379,"name":"Brian L.
