{"doi":"10.1007/s10900-024-01438-2","title":"Views from patients, students, and preceptors about the ethics of student-run free clinics","abstract":"At roughly three-quarters of U.S. medical schools, health professional students run student-run free clinics (SRFCs) to provide free or reduced-cost care—including, for example, primary care services, medications, and social services—to their local communities [ 1 , 2 ]. Typically, student volunteers engage with patients, then consult with licensed preceptor volunteers to design treatment plans [ 3 ].
