The role of regulatory B cells (Bregs) in downregulating inflammation has been reported to be significant in several diseases including transplant rejection. Many reports have analyzed different B-cell subpopulations, including Bregs, in tolerant, stable, and rejecting transplant recipients as well as the influence of immunosuppressant on the frequencies and functions of the different B-cell subsets.
