{"doi":"10.1002/zaac.202200288","title":"Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a New Orthorhombic Polytype of Potassium Ferricyanide","abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>A new four‐layer orthorhombic polytype of potassium ferricyanide, K<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>Fe(CN)<jats:sub>6</jats:sub>, has been determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction supported by powder X‐ray diffraction measurements. It crystallizes in the space group <jats:italic>Pbcn</jats:italic> with lattice parameters <jats:italic>a =</jats:italic> 10.3922(7) Å, <jats:italic>b =</jats:italic> 8.3508(5) Å, <jats:italic>c =</jats:italic> 26.838(2) Å and <jats:italic>Z =</jats:italic> 8, indicating a doubled orthorhombic cell along the <jats:italic>c</jats:italic> direction compared with the previously reported two‐layer orthorhombic polymorph.
