{"doi":"10.1002/hast.4923","title":"About the Special Report","abstract":"This special report is a collaboration between The Hastings Center and the Center for ELSI Resources and Analysis (CERA). CERA enhances the production, sharing, and use of research on the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genetics and genomics and builds the community of ELSI researchers. It is funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health and managed by teams at Stanford and Columbia Universities in partnership with The Hastings Center and Case Western Reserve University. Everyone should benefit from publicly funded advancements in genetics and genomics. Yet ensuring an equitable and just allocation of health and well-being requires action. This collection of essays was envisioned as a place to explore the necessary stakeholder groups, processes, venues, and impacts for possible actions. Within it are many creative ideas aimed at enhancing justice across the genomics enterprise that can now be tested, refined, and adopted. The guest editors thank the authors who contributed their ideas to this report. We also thank the anonymous peer reviews and the editorial committee members of the Hastings Center Report.
