{"doi":"10.1002/cpt196782266","title":"Assessment of the dependence‐producing properties of dihydrocodeinone and codoxime","abstract":"<jats:p>Dihydrocodeinone and a new narcotic antitussive, codoxime, were compared in single doses with morphine in a crossover study to compare their ability to produce opiate‐like euphoria. In addition, both drugs were substituted for morphine in 7 chronically addicted subjects to determine their capacity to produce physical dependence.
