{"doi":"10.1002/cjoc.201201080","title":"Microbial Transformation of Pregnane‐3<i>β</i>,16<i>β</i>,20‐triol by <i>Cunninghamella echinulata</i>","abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Microbial transformation of pregnane‐3<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,16<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,20‐triol (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>) by <jats:italic>Cunninghamella echinulata</jats:italic> afforded four previously unreported polyhydroxylated steroids, namely pregnane‐3<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,14<jats:italic>α</jats:italic>,16<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,20‐tetrol (<jats:bold>2</jats:bold>), pregnane‐3‐oxo‐14<jats:italic>α</jats:italic>, 16<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,20‐triol (<jats:bold>3</jats:bold>), pregnane‐3‐oxo‐7<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,16<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,20‐triol (<jats:bold>4</jats:bold>), and pregnane‐3<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,7<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,16<jats:italic>β</jats:italic>,20‐tetrol (<jats:bold>5</jats:bold>).
