N.L. masc. n.\n                      <jats:italic>Caldicoprobacter</jats:italic>\n                      , type genus of the family; suff. ‐\n                      <jats:italic>aceae</jats:italic>\n                      , ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n.\n                      <jats:italic>Caldicoprobacteraceae</jats:italic>\n                      , the\n                      <jats:italic>Caldicoprobacter</jats:italic>\n                      family.\n                    </jats:p>\n                    <jats:p>The family Caldicoprobacteraceae of the order Clostridiales and the phylum Firmicutes, contains, so far, only one genus, Caldicoprobacter, with thermophilic/extreme thermophilic anaerobes with chemoheterotrophic metabolism. Spores observed in some species.
