After introducing the point and block kriging predictor, the chapter focuses on the different types of linear and nonlinear kriging. In all the cases, the corresponding kriging equations are derived together with the prediction variance. They are first obtained for the case that both the observation support and the predictor are punctual and then generalized for the cases of point observation support and block predictor and for block observation support and block predictor. Finally, they are used in the cross-validation process.
