Merry","orcid":null,"position":0,"is_corresponding":false}],"reference_count":0,"raw_metadata":{"has_enrichment":true,"resolved":true,"title":"School‐based mental health interventions","abstract":"Schools play an important part in the lives of children and adolescents and can potentially play a key role in helping to address the mental health needs of their students. In this chapter we outline ways in which mental health interventions may be delivered, from broad mental health promotion, through intervention and treatment. We review the role of screening for mental health problems in the school setting, the roles staff can play and the types of interventions that have been developed for different mental health problems, and for some of the underlying risk factors for poor mental health.
